If you are looking to obtain a Class A CDL, you can choose from a Monday to Friday class, or one that operates on the weekend. If you opt for the full time class, you will attend from 7 in the morning till 5 in the evening for three weeks. Weekend classes of 7am-5pm will take 7 and a half weeks to complete the course.

For Class B licenses it’s 6 days of 7am-5pm Monday to Friday. While Class B drivers don’t command the same level of pay as Class A drivers, it is still possible to earn up to $50,000.

However, interstate driving jobs tend to allow a return to home once every week or two. In some extreme circumstances you may only return home once a month. Depending on what company offers you a contract you may drive within state bounds, in the south, or all throughout the country.
